About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Gaucho Rocket Project is a student-led organization dedicated to advancing rocketry through hands-on design, engineering, and launch experience. Founded in 2024 by Eddie, Jacob, and Ethan, the club provides students with the tools, knowledge, and collaborative environment needed to build and launch rockets from the ground up.

Through weekly meetings, technical workshops, and real-world project experience, we aim to foster innovation, teamwork, and practical skills. Committed to pushing the boundaries of collegiate rocketry, Gaucho Rocket Project strives to drive student-led innovation and make a meaningful impact on the future of space technology.

Our Story
Gaucho Rocket Project began like all great endeavors; it began with a vision. Despite challenges such as limited space and funding, our team pushed forward to establish UCSB’s dedicated rocketry organization.
Focused on innovation and hands-on learning, Gaucho Rocket Project aims to pioneer new approaches to rocketry. Our inaugural project, Telluris, is an ambitious effort to develop a rocket capable of safely returning to the ground.
